SHR

SHR stands for “Super Hair Removal”, an advanced hair removal technology that is an evolution of the traditional one IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) methods. SHR combines laser technology with the benefits of pulsating light methods to provide painless treatments. Unlike traditional hair removal methods that rely primarily on the absorption of light energy through the Melanin Based in the hair, SHR also uses the heat conducted through the skin to Hair follicles to specifically deactivate it during the growth phase.

How SHR works

SHR uses low fluence (energy levels) at high repetition rates, gently scattering multiple light pulses across the treatment area. Instead of a single, high-energy pulse that can cause discomfort and pain, SHR heats hair follicles gradually and gently, minimizing the risk of side effects. The technology typically works with a wavelength of 650 to 950 nm.

Advantages of SHR

  • Low-pain treatment : Due to gradual warming and the use of low energy levels, SHR is largely painless.
  • Suitable for all skin types : SHR is effective for various skin types, including tanned skin, which is often a problem with traditional laser and IPL methods.
  • Faster treatment : The method allows large areas such as legs or back to be treated quickly.
  • High effectiveness : SHR can show high efficiency in reducing hair growth, even on finer hair.

Differences from conventional methods

Compared to traditional IPL and laser hair removal methods, SHR offers a less painful and often more comfortable experience. The technique does not focus solely on melanin as a target, but rather utilizes general warming of the dermis to achieve effective hair reduction, thereby reducing the risk of skin burns.

Areas of application

SHR is primarily used for hair removal, but can also be used to treat acne, pigment disorders and for skin rejuvenation, similar to other light-based treatments.

Disadvantages and risks

  • Multiple Sessions Required : As with most hair removal techniques, multiple treatment sessions are necessary to achieve the best results.
  • Cost : The cost of SHR can be higher than traditional hair removal methods, depending on the area being treated and the number of sessions required.
  • Variable Results : As with all hair removal methods, results may vary from person to person.

In summary, SHR offers a modern and effective hair removal solution that is particularly suitable for people looking for a low-pain alternative to traditional laser and IPL methods.
